About the Board’s Fee

The California Underground Facilities Safe Excavation Board’s regulation to establish stable funding for Board operations took effect on January 1, 2019. The following links provide more information about the regulation:

Fee Regulation Revision

In June 2020, the Board began discussing revisions to the fee regulation to improve the process for all of those involved including Operators subject to paying the fee, the Regional Notification Centers that collect the fee on the Board’s behalf, and Board staff.
