SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its audit of San Diego Gas & Electric’s (SDG&E) substantial vegetation management work in 2021. The audit found that there was one 2021 Wildfire Mitigation Plan Update (WMP) initiative, regarding environmental reviews on three newly installed poles, that must be corrected.
SDG&E will have 10 days to correct the deficiency identified in the audit. Energy Safety also found that SDG&E performed the vegetation management work required for the remaining 19 initiatives in its WMP.
