SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today, during a public meeting, adopted its Revised 2022 Change Order Guidelines for Electrical Corporations. California’s electrical corporations are required to request approval for substantial changes to their 2022 Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) Update mitigation initiatives.
Generally, changes that require a change order include any that alter the course of an electrical corporation’s WMP or potentially reduce asset or community protections from wildfire or Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) risk. Specific criteria for change order requests are described in Section 2.
