SACRAMENTO– The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released Draft 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) Guidelines for public comment. A 37-day public comment period follows release of the guidelines. A public adoption meeting is planned for November.
The draft guidelines cover a three-year period for the WMP process (Public Utilities Code 8386) that begins in 2023. The current WMP three-year cycle that began in 2020 runs through the end of 2022.
