SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its Draft 2025 Electrical Corporation Maturity Model Survey Guidelines. Release of the draft survey guidelines initiates a 30-day public comment period.
The Maturity Model Survey is completed by California’s electrical corporations as part of their Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) submission and evaluation. The survey is a questionnaire about the specifics of their WMP submissions. It is used to help assess wildfire mitigation maturity over time.
Written comments on the draft survey guidelines are due by March 7 and must be submitted to the 2026-2028 Electrical Corporation Wildfire Mitigation Plans docket (#2026-2028-WMPs) in Energy Safety’s e-filing system. The draft maturity model survey guidelines will be considered for adoption at a public meeting in March. Please use Energy Safety’s How to File a Public Comment page for assistance.
