SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its 2024 vegetation management audit report of Pacific Gas and Electric’s (PG&E) 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Base Plan (WMP).
The audit covered 13 vegetation management initiatives in six programmatic areas of PG&E’s 2024 WMP. Energy Safety found that PG&E completed 12 of 13 vegetation management initiatives for 2024. Energy Safety has identified one outstanding initiative deficiency within PG&E’s vegetation management program regarding wood and slash management. PG&E has acknowledged this deficiency and has implemented a plan for corrective action.
