Sacramento – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its audit and report of PacifiCorp’s vegetation management work in 2023. Energy Safety’s audit and report found that PacifiCorp substantially complied with a substantial portion of the vegetation management requirements in its 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Plan for compliance year 2023.
Energy Safety’s audit initially found that PacifiCorp did not provide enough information to verify completion of work in five of 13 vegetation management initiatives in its 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP). However, Pacific=Corp submitted a corrective action plan to address the five vegetation management initiative deficiencies (failure to meet pole clearing target, manage vegetation management work, document clearance work, document substation defensible space, and identify high-risk species) with additional information to demonstrate that it had satisfied completion of the initiatives.
Energy Safety’s audit found that PacifiCorp performed the work required for the remaining eight WMP initiatives. No further action is required.
