SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released draft revisions to the 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) Process and Evaluation Guidelines. Release of the guidelines initiates a 30-day public review and comment period.
Written comments are due by Jan. 22, 2024, and must be submitted to the 2023 to 2025 Electrical Corporation Wildfire Mitigation Plans docket (#2023-2025-WMPs) in Energy Safety’s e-filing system.
The process and evaluation guidelines provide details that California electrical corporations must follow for submission and evaluation of their WMPs. The process and evaluation guidelines also detail the public participation process for WMP evaluation.
