Underground Safety Board Planning and Design Workshop

Sacramento, CA – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety’s (Energy Safety) Underground Safety Board will host a public workshop, both in-person and via Microsoft Teams, on February 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This workshop is the second in a series of outreach efforts that will help identify requirements for a planning and design information exchange and consider statewide impacts on current operations. Stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide input to help shape regulations required in Senate Bill 254 (see SEC. 2.), which will become state law on July 1, 2027.
