SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) Electrical Safety Policy Division will hold a virtual public workshop (via Microsoft Teams) on March 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Senate Bill 254 (SB 264) implementation requirements. The purpose of the workshop will be to discuss Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) submission requirements related to cost per avoided ignition and to gather feedback that will aid in the implementation of the law. Energy Safety will also address questions and comments received on future WMP submission schedules. Members of the public, local and regional agencies, boards, tribes, commissions, and other stakeholders are invited to participate in this virtual public workshop.
