SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its 2024 Vegetation Management Audit Report of Liberty Utilities (Liberty) 2023-2025 Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP). The audit covered 13 vegetation management initiatives in six programmatic areas of Liberty’s 2024 WMP.
Energy Safety’s initial audit found that Liberty was deficient in two of 13 vegetation management initiatives (quality assurance and quality control, and open work orders). However, in its corrective action plan, Liberty provided sufficient documentation to substantiate completion of work for all 13 vegetation management initiatives in its 2023-2025 WMP for performance year 2024 and no further action is necessary.
