SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its approval of the Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES) 2026-2028 Wildfire Mitigation Base Plan (WMP).
BVES is transitioning to a new risk model, incorporating new technology and programs for vegetation management and grid operations, and improving the quality of its data.
The approval follows the release of drafts on July 16 and Oct. 10 and the incorporation of public comment and cross-utility areas for continued improvement. BVES will have 10 calendar days to submit a final version of its WMP.
