SACRAMENTO – The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) today released its Revised Draft Data Guidelines 4.0 for public review and comment. Release of the Revised Draft Data Guidelines 4.0 initiates a 30-day public comment period.
Energy Safety’s data guidelines ensure California’s electrical corporations submit uniform information for Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) evaluation and compliance. Stakeholders may submit comments addressing the Revised Draft Data Guidelines 4.0 through Feb. 25.
The Draft Data Guidelines 4.0 were initially released on Nov. 18, 2024, for a 30-day public review and comment period. A public workshop was held on Dec. 18. Feedback from both the first public review and comment period and the workshop was incorporated into the revised draft guidelines.
Comments must be submitted to Energy Safety’s e-filing system in the Data Guidelines docket (docket Data Guidelines) and titled, “[Stakeholder Name] Comments on Revised Draft Data Guidelines 4.0.” Comments are limited to five pages in length and must focus on factual, legal, or technical aspects of the Revised Draft Data Guidelines 4.0. Comments not meeting all submission requirements may not be considered.
